         The trampoline is a very useful tool for men’s artistic competitors and should be utilized as often as possible. It is the best place to learn and enhance aerial awareness and many artistic skills can be first learned on the trampoline and later taken to the apparatus or floor. 5 time world tumbling champion, Judy Cline says “I never did tumbling on the trampoline, I did trampoline on the tumbling mat. Listed below are a few of the possible artistic skills that can be learned and enhanced on the trampoline.    

 

FX            Nearly all tumbling skills; front handspring, flyspring, front flips,

front flips with twists, back handspring, back flips, back flips with twists, gainers, twisting gainers, double gainers, double gainers with twists, arabian dive roll, full twisting dive roll, arabian, arabian 1 3/4. arabian doubles, 1 3/4 fronts, double fronts, double fronts with twists, double backs, double backs with twists, Thomas, Hypolito, etc.

 

Rings        Handstand – bouncing in handstand 10X

                 Front Giant to HS - front kaboom to handstand

Back Giant to HS – back kaboom to handstand

All dismounts

 

Vault         Handspring – do flysprings and front layouts on tramp

                  Yamashita – do flying piked front with early opening

Yami with 1/2 twist – Piked front with 1/2 twist

                  Handspring with full twist – front layout with late twist

                  Yamashita with full twist – piked front with full twist

                  Handspring front (T) – front layout-see-front tuck
